This morning I woke up and was doing my daily searches via social media and read about a Kickstarter Campaign that Award Winning Director and Producer Spike Lee has just started. When I started to read about it I was excited because I was very impressed at how crowd sourcing has become a truly engaging experience for fans of entertainment. Than I was taken back by the fact that there were so many people in the media actually hating on the fact that Mr. Lee was raising money via crowd sourcing and actually implied that he may be taking monies away from young up and coming movie makers. WHAT?! Talk about confusing, isn’t it to the benefit of all that someone like Spike Lee could drive traffic to such a platform and open up the opportunities for so many who may not know that such platforms exist. No, not everyone reads techcrunch or mashable! If when I was a kid someone told me that I could help make Starwars come to the big screen and perhaps get an autograph or a Luke Skywalker picture I would have sold lemonade to make it happen. I don’t care if the movie producer is rich or poor, it’s about the engagement and about learning about the platform and that perhaps I can use it one day to fund a project. STOP HATING on individuals for personal dislikes, instead open your minds to the positives instead of the negatives! I truly hope Spike Lee raises double the amount he needs to make his new movie! SHOW SPIKE SOME LOVE! GO HERE AND SEE HIS KICKSTARTER PAGE, $5 GETS YOU TO BE PART OF A MOVIE!
This video has gone viral and I think it is quite hilarious. Produced by Directv the brothers promote the NFL Ticket on Mobile Devices…Still don’t think mobile is the future?
After many months of hard work and determination, Panacea Project is ready to hit the road. I would never have imagined that I would have so much fun and learn so much about the internet in such a short period. I have never developed a Youtube Artist, to say the least a group with so much talent. Never has a talented person or group have the possibilities to reach so many different countries so quickly and build a strong fanbase. Everyday new stars are being born online, some will be stars for 5 minutes and others will build a foundation that will last for years. The one thing that everyone has now, is the same tools to succeed, and truly be independent and make a career of their talents. I am truly proud of these guys, skies the limit and even than, there is always Mars. 🙂
Check them out
After so many years of working in the entertainment industry, I recently asked myself why do some Artist make it and others just as talented don’t? Why do some executives make it and some don’t? How come people in the offices next to me were now rich or leaders at a new company and others just as talented were now without work?
Many like to blame the industry, their managers, their labels, their co-workers or the times, but the answer is right in front of them while they stare in the mirror. In order to succeed YOU cannot worry about ANYONE other than yourself, you have to want to succeed more than you need to breathe. Talent is not enough, dedication, hardwork and setting goals is the answer, If it means only sleeping 3 hours a day, if it means going days without sleep you must have a hunger inside of you that NO ONE can get in your way.
Everyone has the same tools, it is up to you to make things happen, “IF YOU DREAM IT, YOU CAN BECOME IT”. Life may seem unfair at times, but that is not an excuse, that is ammunition, when someone says I can’t do something, that is like putting engine fuel in my unleaded car, a boost that drives me.
You have what it takes to be as successful as YOUR DREAMS tell you, don’t worry about what anyone else is doing, FOCUS on YOUR goals.

“When you really think about it, the only competition you really have is yourself, you can’t control how the other person is going to perform. Challenge yourself to be the best you can possibly be and at the end you will achieve all of your Dreams”. – Robert Rivera
